A NIGHT IN PARADISE

Last Tuesday Aarhus' unique cinema, Øst for Paradis, asked me to photograph their annual event A Night in Paradise where the cinema closes as it is usually know and opens up again for a night full of art, music and movies. There were couches, beer and coffee in the courtyard, poetry readings, concerts and both art and photography exhibitions.

The first guests arrived and checked out the program over a beer in the cosy courtyard.

Artists exhibitioning their work at the Pop-Up Edition.

Peter from Illy made delicious coffee for the guests all night.

Exited guests recieving their free tickets.

First attempt at putting up the big screen.

Annemette also made sure that the guests were kept hydrated.

Not everyone were bothered by the sudden rain.

During the heavy rain the Pop-Up Edition moved inside the café on the ground floor.

Perleplade Marmelade had quirky activities for the guests.

The guys once again try to put up the screen for the open air silent movie showing later.

Super 8 presented a couple of short films in Sal D.

The photographer Anne Lærke Koefoed exibitioned her work from a trip to Uganda.

After dark the guests cosied up for the silent movie showing in the courtyard.
